Distribution of Pyroclastic Deposits around Lake Maninjau Agam District, West Sumatera, Indonesia based on Magnetic Susceptibility

چکیده
Lake Maninjau is an erupting volcano in West Sumatra Province. The results of the eruption have now settled various places and scattered all directions due to transportation process. process transporting volcanic material caused by several factors such as wind rain. This study aims analyze distribution pattern that around Maninjau, Agam Regency. We 25 types samples divided into 3 categories. There are pumice, lava, ash. research was conducted at FMIPA UNP Laboratory using rock magnetization method. In this study, a Bartington MS2 with MS2B sensor used calculating magnetic susceptibility value based on mass sample. analysis obtained varied between 74.7×10-8 - 3956.7×10-8 m3/kg which included ilmenite (FeTiO3) group. highest vulnerability 2800×10-8 4000×10-8 found core ± 5.0 km seen from green contour map. lowest values 0 800×10-8 were western part deposited distance 13 caldera. Deposits also eastern 22.4 Middle East 23 miles white color represents 1600 2000×10-8 moderate value, 4 southeast benefit can be taken ink industry presence mineral map suseptibility and makes it easier find raw materials for making Maninjau.

Basaltic Pyroclastic Deposits on Earth and Mars: Constraints for Robotic Exploration of Martian Pyroclastic Deposits
Introduction: Basaltic pyroclastic rocks are uncommon on Earth because most mafic magmas are too volatile-poor to drive explosive eruptions [3-4]. However, basaltic pyroclastic deposits maybe much more common on Mars than on Earth [4-7] because Mars’ lower gravity and thinner atmosphere permit explosive eruptions from magmas with lower volatile contents. Though rare, basaltic pyroclastic rock o...
متن کاملRemote Sensing of Lunar Pyroclastic Mantling Deposits
Mantling deposits on the Moon are considered to be pyroclastic units emplaced on the lunar surface as a result of explosive fire fountaining. These pyroclastic units are characterized as having low albedos, having smooth fine-textured surfaces, and consisting in part of homogeneous, Febearing volcanic glass and partially crystallized spheres. Mantling units exhibit low returns on depolarized 3....
متن کاملThe global distribution of pyroclastic deposits on Mercury: The view from MESSENGER flybys 1–3
We present a global survey of candidate pyroclastic deposits on Mercury, derived from images obtained during MESSENGER flybys 1–3 that provided near-global coverage at resolutions between 5 and 0.5 km/pixel. Thirty-five deposits were identified and characterized and are located principally on the floors of craters, along rims of craters, and along the edge of the Caloris basin. Deposits are com...
متن کاملCompositional analyses of lunar pyroclastic deposits
The 5-band Clementine UVVIS data at 100 m/pixel were used to examine the compositions of 75 large and small lunar pyroclastic deposits (LPDs), and these were compared to representative lunar maria and highlands deposits. Results show that the albedo, spectral color, and inferred composition of most LPDs are similar to those of low-titanium, mature lunar maria. These LPDs may have consisted larg...
متن کاملPaleolake Deposits on Mars: Perspectives on Source-to-sink Mineralogy from Lake Towuti, Indonesia
Introduction: Ancient paleolake basins are amongst the best evidence for surface fluvial activity early in martian history [e.g., 1-3]. Many of these paleolakes contain sedimentary deposits formed when there was standing water within the basin [e.g., 1,2,4]. Study of lacustrine sedimentary deposits on Earth can provide fundamental constraints on martian paleolake deposits, which are largely res...
